Recent research from Harvard indicates that families that eat together are twice as likely to eat the daily recommended servings of fruits and vegetables as those who do not.

Research also shows that children tend to be more willing to eat healthy foods and be active if they see their parents and other family members doing these things first. Eating meals together gives parents a chance to help children develop healthy attitudes toward food. Parents can be a healthy eating role model by eating nutritious foods, introducing new foods, and establishing a regular meal schedule.
