Mini Van
We Live In the Minivan, I Might As
Well Decorate!
Many families spend so much time “on the road”, they’ve
transformed the SUV into a rolling Wal-Mart, with cases of
snacks and drinks buried beneath backpacks, sports equipment,
and the built in entertainment system!! Researchers
say some parents have “relinquished the steering wheel to
their children. That’s because most family decisions and purchases
are geared toward the kids’ activities.”
Ask yourself about the time you spend “on the road”. Are
you being intentional about a family outing or family vacation,
or are you accomplishing a task or getting to a destination?
Time in the car with your children can offer rewarding conversations
but don’t count on it as a way to connect.
